MAYA ARRIAGA MARTIN is an associate at The Noble Law Firm and advocates for clients on appeal and in postconviction proceedings.
Maya attended the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder. While at Colorado Law, Maya quickly demonstrated a strong commitment to public interest and criminal defense. During Law school, Maya worked closely with the Korey Wise Innocence Project (KWIP) in several different capacities as a volunteer, extern, and an Office of Alternate Defense Counsel (OADC) legal researcher. This experience sparked Maya’s passion for appellate and postconviction work and helped develop her skills in effective legal research and writing. Maya still collaborates on cases with KWIP in her capacity as an attorney.
While at Colorado Law, Maya was a member of several student organizations such as Women’s Law Caucus, Latinx Law Student Association, and the KWIP student group. During her second and third year of law school, Maya worked as an OADC legal researcher and specialized in appellate and postconviction work. Maya also received recognition upon graduating for completing the Colorado Public Service Pledge, which is a commitment students make to complete a minimum number of law-related public service work not for credit or other compensation.
Maya is committed to defending and advocating for the rights of those affected by the criminal justice system. She believes that every client deserves someone to fight for them no matter who they are or what the case may be. Maya’s approach to legal representation aims to support every client and empower them to be heard within a system where they often don’t have a voice.
